The end has come, and my degree project is finally complete and handed in. My blog is full and (i hope) has a complete write up of every bit of progression i have made which helps reflect my process during the project.
As one of the later hand ins, i created an image, video and short descriptor of the project which i hope will help to define the context of how my mobile application is expected to be used.

A-mazing! Awe-some!!

After a wee bit of procastination from my Zoom phase in my final degree project, i found a design i made for my portfolio website. Having the usual designer curse of hating my own designs after a short while, this was neglected from use.
Looking at it now though i remember how good it was at first, you think its a good design? i really need to get a portfolio site up soonish and the time it takes to make a good layout, hate it, then redo it is just too long!
Any ideas on a better name aswell, at this point im just using the default ‘name’ Design thing that graduates use.
Back for the start of semester 2 of the final year! Non stop stress from here on in till the degree show is something were all looking forward to in the Interaction Design studios here at DoJ. Coming back from a long vacation due to the awesome snow we’ve had here isn’t so bad, after sitting about most of the time, its good to have weekly time pressure to get things done.
In preperation for coming back iv happily invested in some sweet stationary, the main element being these wickid ‘Field Notes’ memo books which work great as general notepads, especially when they come in a supply of 3. The paper quality’s great and their so flexible its easy to carry them around and pull out whenever u need them, works well for roaming research!
Never been so honoured to own ‘Made in the U.S.A’ material!
Check out my brand new blog that im currently working on to reflect the developments that i am making on my final honours degree project at University. The project is all about ‘social mobile networking’ and is aimed at researching current trends on the topic along with the creation of a mobile application that i am working on that will serve this sector of the mobile market.

Ever wanted to control your whole car with your ipod? This guys totally integrated the features of his sweet ass 67’ Pontiac GTO wirelessly with his ipod touch, meaning he can remotely put down the windows, the roof, open the trunk, the doors and control his stereo, including track and volume change.

The most awesome part of this setup though isn’t the remote ignition start, oh no! it’s the remote engine revving, this wickid setup actually lets you rev the 67’ GTO remotely within a certain distance, all from the legendary touch screen interface of the ipod/iphone!

Amazing, i could not possibly want something any more right now!
Polaroid are the gods of cameras and these fixed up vintage polaroids are absolutely stunning, even though they were old, used and worn cameras, the guys at polaroid have done a great job bringing the cosmetics right back up to scratch.

A true design legend, the ergonomics of these cameras is just awesome, i would be so proud to own one of these babies and have shown off in my studio under a very thick perspex display box!
The 2011 Hyundai Equus, another swav car for the over indulgent market…yes! But theres a nice wee twist on this $45,000 V6 with 290 Brake. The user manual isn’t another massive wad of nicely glossed cartridge paper…nope!… Hyundai have infact gone all out on selling each Equus with it’s very own ‘ipad’ preloaded with the digital user manual.
Not only that, but this beauty of a pre-programmed ‘ipad’ will infact allow you too schedule car services and repairs.
Magine that eh, an ‘ipad’ being sold as an actual user manual for a car, swav selling technique for a swav car!
I had no clue about the ingenious effort some crooks go to in order to gain the details off your credit cards. As they walk by you and your wallet, they can use an RFID scanner to scan the data off of your cards and then use it to their advantage.
However the clever wee cookies at Ogon, have almost prematurely conquered this problem by designing a very nice line of wallets that are made of a special aluminium casing that protects from demagnetisation and RFID scanners.
The wallets are only designed to hold your collection of cards, however, the design is really cool and no doubt the production value is top notch. Once delivered, you are even greeted by a sweet packaging design that tops it all off!
I personally don’t have that many cards that i carry around, but just to own another tech savvy gadget is enough to go get one!
